Its paramount mission: to revolutionise the industry's landscape, shifting it from a consumer-centric model into a globally interconnected manufacturing powerhouse.
Launched on 1st November 2023 under the guidence of the ILO and the ADB with the backing of the state and the entire Automobile Industry.

The council's governance benefits from the involvement of six Ex Officio members representing the Ministries of Education, Finance, Industries, and Transport.
Two pivotal skills-based government organisations — TVEC and NAITA — play instrumental roles in shaping the industry's destiny. The council also partners with CGTTI and UNIVOTECH.
