On 11 June 2026, the Automobile Industry Council of Sri Lanka (AIC) proudly hosted the International Automobile Industry Awards 2026 at the prestigious Temple Trees (Araliya Gaha Mandiraya), Colombo. The launch event brought together distinguished guests, industry leaders, and representatives from the automobile sector to mark the beginning of this important initiative. The program highlighted the significance of promoting ethical business practices and setting higher standards for the Sri Lankan automobile industry through the Fairtrade Auto certification.
